I made enough scrappy Christmas four patches last week to sew up three quilted items. Small, smaller, smallest!
Placemat - 12 X 16 inches,
mug rug - 8 X 10,
and a tiny pincushion - about 3 inches square
All the backings came from the Christmas scrap drawer, too. Aren't these snowpeople cute?! And snow cats and dogs - love them!
The mug rug will probably be a gift for a friend, with a mug and some hot cocoa mix added in. The pincushion will become part of the gift for my quilt group Christmas gift exchange that is happening tomorrow. I made the pillow way back in July during Melva's Christmas in July blog hop!
Are the Christmas scraps all used up? Of course not! I wonder what else I can make with them - I'll have to dig in and do some more thinking about that.

I don’t think scraps ever go away. You made cute items with your Christmas scraps! Gail at the cozy quilter
Pretty placemats! And I love that pillow with the skates. The Christmas scraps will absolutely grow, so be forewarned. ;)
Oh, yes....one scrap leads to another. Your trio is charming!
These are an example of simple sewing that turns into something cute and so useful. That pillow is really adorable.
Fun and festive gifts, Dian. You made excellent use of those Christrmas scraps. I love the hand stitched embroidery on the pillow, too.
What a wonderful array of Christmas projects! I can see how the placemat is going to get a lot of use and be oh so pretty in your living room. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

I love the pillow with Santa next to it - did you make Santa too?
Your holiday house is really shaping up. Sadly, I still have turkeys & pilgrims out. Really and truly need to work on that! Your Christmas pillow is beautiful and the table mat is perfect between you & hubby. What's your go-to snacks?
Those scraps stitched up beautifully. Isn't it great to be using items that were just bits a few days ago?
I have a runner and a smaller topper that I used squares of red, green and cream to make. For all their simplicity I just love them! Great use of your scraps.
You've made some very cute Christmas stuff with your scraps!
I missed seeing your stitchery last week. Just discovered thanks to Jennifer's post review today. It is so lovely, Diann !
What a great use for those fun little pieces and prints!!! Brightens up the house right away!
