Slow stitching for an October Sunday...

Crow and his pumpkin are finished - not fully finished, but stitched.  I'll try to squeeze that finish in this week.  Halloween is coming!

I also made some progress on the mini apple sampler, too.  Not too much more to stitch - just a few apples!

Of course, that makes me want to start something new, and Melisa at PinkernPunkin has lots of choices.  This one is really calling to me -  the Little Hoot Halloween stamp.  I would love to stitch an owl!

But, first I was thinking I should finish up an older project.  I worked on the Woven Wreaths project from Kathy Schmitz all last year and hand quilted it earlier this year.  I couldn't quite decide how I wanted to finish it, so I put it in the closet and there it has stayed for several months!  I finally found a blue fabric that seemed like a good fit for the binding, so that's what I'm going to work on today.  It is machine stitched on and needs the hand stitching step.

That will be a good project for Slow Sunday Stitching!
Linking up with Kathy's Quilts.

Yes…this quilt needs to move to the finish line! Enjoy your hand stitching today! It needs to be out on display to show off your beautiful embroidery. Gail at the cozy quilter

Choices, choices we all have so many to pick from that sometimes it's hard to settle on one, LOL. Your apple sampler is looking so pretty! Yesterday as we were ATVing, the trail went through some pastures, in and out of trees etc and we saw several apple trees with small apples, wonder what they would taste like. We got the feeling they were for the animals instead of humans.

Halloween usy indeed coming and you will have even more pretties to display, Diann. I'm glad Woven Wreaths is out of the closet. The blue fabric for the binding is a perfect choice.

That's a pretty combination of the quilting and the embroidery.

I want to stitch the owl too. But how will I fit it in ? Guess I’ll have to stitch instead of doing housework or cooking! LOL. Wonder how that will go over with Mr. Busy?

Lovely stitching, I especially love the crow. I finished my Kathy
Schmitz piece along earlier in the year to go in our Red and White quilt show. Mine was red.
