Since progress has been made on each of my other two Rainbow Scrap Challenge block projects this month, this seemed like a good week to evaluate where I am with the Gameboard blocks. So far, I've made ten of them. I think I'll need at least 30 for a quilt, so this will continue into next year's RSC.
The first step for these blocks is the center sixteen patch which I sew as a leader/ender. There are two pinks, a light blue from September, and goldish/light brown that came from my October scraps.
Those two pink blocks have been hanging around for awhile, so I chose one of them to sew into a block first. And in looking for pieces for the outside sections, I came across this selvage. Isn't that perfect?
All this was happening in between sewing together more larger four patches of the quarter stars. I've reached the center block of the star!

The selvedge message is great! The gameboard blocks are becoming more interesting as you add to them. Have a good weekend.
So fun to watch the blocks grow and come together!!
Gosh I love those gameboard blocks. I really enjoy seeing your progress on the quarter stars - so pretty.
How do you keep/store your projects? I bought 14x14x3 plastic bins and label them, but have to find places to store the bins - lol!
Interesting gameboard block! Great progress on the star.
I love that saying on the selvage.
I love selvage sayings. So often intriguing!
