Three projects...

for a slow stitching Sunday!

A little progress has been made on "Celebrate Fall."  I took it along on our trip, but hardly got it out.  I guess you never know what kind of time there'll be for stitching when you're away from home.  I've made a little progress on it, though - the words are finished and a few other areas!

Sometime in this last few weeks I started a new mini sampler designed by Melisa.  It's the Mini Apple Sampler.   I've stitched a lot of her mini samplers, but missed this one.  And since my September display has an apple theme - I need this one!

And then there's my on-again, off-again hand quilting project - the Orange Peels.  I'm trying to get back on it again!  I'm up to 17 of the 24 orange peels being quilted, so it's slowly moving along.

What will I work on today?  Maybe a little of each!

Love the darker quilting on your Orange Peels piece--I like how it makes the shapes stand out so well..nice work.
the wording on your embroidery looks great, too...

It is hard to find time to stitch when you are on the road and having fun. Looks like you've been making good progress on the hand stitching front even with the trip.

I too like your dark thread quilting around the orange peels as it gives an additional dimension! Your cross stitch projects look great too. It sounds like the vacation was too packed for stitching which means you had a great time! (Some vacations are for relaxing and some are for exploring. . right?)

I love all of your projects. It is good to see the orange peels being worked on again. It is always hit and miss as to how much you can stitch when you travel.

The fabric on your Orange Peels is so pretty, and the darker stitches look really nice.

Oh, yes. I have EPP hexies that I take on trips though most of the time I don't sew a stitch. But just in case...

I understand about stitching away from home! When we go to San Diego, I pack so many hand stitching projects and make little progress. However, I've learned it a fabulous time for crocheting. Your Celebrate Fall project is lovely! Melissa is so talented and generous with her patterns! Your quilting stitches are lovely and the fabrics look like so much fun!
