I've been stitching on two different little projects this week. After finishing up "Bringing Home the Tree" last week, I started another cross-stitch design. This is "Santa is on His Way," another design by Melisa of PinkernPunkin Quilting. You know I love her cross-stitch designs!
If you look at Melisa's post about this design, you'll notice that her house is red. I decided to make mine blue to go along with my blue Santa and snowman theme from last week.
The white floss (for the snow) doesn't always show up very well, even when using a darker cloth, so I decided to try outlining some parts in a light blue. I think that might help!
I've also been adding some stitches to Home, from Kathy Schmitz, that I started around Thanksgiving. There are more leaves to stitch, and the nest needs to be filled in with seed stitches. I'll need to get some more variegated brown floss before I can finish the best, though.
Linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching
where I'll probably be working on one of these!

Both of your stitching projects are looking good. Outlining the snowman with blue was s great idea. Happy slow stitching this week.
I like the outlining in light blue. I have found that outlining in a light grey works also. This is such a cute design. Enjoy your stitching.
I didn't get a new design picked out, but glad you jumped in and did it! I like the idea of the little blue outline here and there.
the outlining in blue looks great. I haven't done stitching in ages.
The outline stitching looks good. Enjoy your stitching today.
Love your blue house! I liked Melisa's border on that design. Your embroider project is so sweet!
Your cross stitching is lovely. I really like the Home stitching you are working on.
Two wonderful projects to work on! I also like having a choice about what to work on. Happy stitching. Gail. At the Cozy Quilter
Highlighting the snowman in blue definitely works. They are very cute designs. Isn’t Melissa clever!
You do such lovely work! Your blue Santa theme is so fun - outlining in the light blue was a good idea, too!
You are really staying caught up with your stitching - love the blue house!
You brought a bright ray of sunshine into my day, Diann. Thank you so much for the heartwarming compliment on my designs and for stitching these Christmas pieces. They are gorgeous! I just love the colors that you chose. Aaah and a blue house- beautiful. I always wanted to live in a blue house. Your Kathy Schmitz piece is looking amazing :). Have a great week. Hugs.
