Hard to believe we've gotten to the last month of 2025 already, but we got a dusting of snow overnight Friday night into Saturday, so I guess it really is that time of year. It's pretty but cold!
I guess that means it's time to bring out the mittens - that is, the December heart mini quilt which has some pretty red mittens stitched inside it!
All twelve hearts that I stitched last year have been finished and displayed on my entryway chest this year. It's been a really fun project for the year!
I'm just getting started decorating the house for Christmas, so the December heart isn't on the quilt stand yet, but I will share a photo when it's ready.
Once the December heart was quilted and bound, I went back to stitching on the Turkey mini sampler and started embroidering another redwork doodle.
Mr. Turkey only needs a few more stitches.
Will I finish him tonight (Saturday)?
I did, and here he is - finished just a couple days after Thanksgiving!
Gobble, gobble!

I love your monthly stitched hearts. Just wondering where you found the patterns? Your turkey is done! He/She is so cute!
Your year of hearts display is awesome! What a fun project! You will get to reminisce each month as you hang each one for its turn to be displayed!
You do such beautiful embroidery! I’ve loved watching the hearts emerge as you stitched them each month. You have quite the collection now. Do you have a new monthly embroidery project picked out for next year? Gobble, gobble, Turkey! Enjoy your stitching today Gail at the Cozy Quilter
The mittens heart is really cute. Hope it's not too cold. But having the temps on the bit chilly side do help one get into the spirit of holiday decorating. At least that's true for me.
the hearts project has turned out beautifully!! Love those mittens--looks like you'll need them today after your snowfall. No snow here as yet; temps still in the 40's.
Hugs, Julierose
The stitched hearts are so beautiful, love the mittens! We will try to get Christmas decorations up later this week. Glad you finally got some snow. We didn't get snow, but it is 29° here and I am so happy! As always I love that view from your house.
Wonderful to see all 12 of your heart stitcheries done. Your snow makes me start thinking about a white Christmas!
I love the sweater print fabric you use for the heart mittens! Oh we got more snow than you-7-8", grrrr, we are staying home for now:(
Your twelve heart mini's are really beautiful. I guess you will need your mittens too if you keep getting snow. We've had a nice day here today but it's wall to wall rain from now on!
I love all of those sweet hearts! The fabric you used on the mittens is wonderful. Now you will have the turkey to use next year! Enjoy your stitching!
Those heart blocks are so fun. I hope to finish my gobble gobble today. Love your turkey stitchery.
