I Like Thursday #396

Hello!

We had some little nocturnal visitors the other night.
Mike was out checking our yard late on the 4th of July, heard a noise up in the tree,
and caught mama and babies all cuddled up together looking out at us.
I'm sure they were as surprised to see us as we were to see them!

Also, in the yard, the cherry tomatoes are starting to ripen.  Yay!

I'm up to two Bonnie Hunter leader/ender blocks!  I'll be a slowpoke with these, but they are fun.  Sewing together a few squares of this and a few rectangles of that - then see what you get!

LeeAnna's question of the week is what is your favorite summer beverage?  Mine is an "Arnold Palmer" - technically half iced tea and half lemonade.  I prefer mine about 2/3 tea and 1/3 lemonade.  I usually have a glass of iced tea/lemonade every afternoon when I sit down to read for awhile - it's very refreshing!

You can buy this combination pre-bottled from Arizona Tea, and even "spiked" in a can, but I just make my own with homemade iced tea and some Ice Lemonade.  If I drank it spiked in the afternoon, I would just fall asleep!

Hope you're having a great week!

Your little visitors are adorable up in the tree. Since it was the 4th, I wonder if they were afraid of fireworks? Those tomatoes will be good on a salad soon. Your County Clare blocks are looking good. My Mom loves to enjoy a non-spiked Arnold Palmer every now and then.

That is a great photo of the Racoons! I'll bet she was surprised to see you. I love your BH sew along blocks. I was thinking of joining in with that one as well. Enjoy your day.

What a photo of those little faces in the tree! Priceless! I like an iced coffee or sparkling water. . .I'm not too adventurous. . LOL

Raccoons are so appealing--except when they knock over the garbage cans or invade the attic.

Cute little raccoons - I hope they leave your garden alone! Hubs likes to drink Arnie Palmers, too. I will have one now and then, but usually I just go with water.

Great picture of the raccoon family! Hope they don’t find your tomatoes! I like 1/2 tea, 1/2 lemonade too. Sometimes I’ll mix other things too! Sparkling water, lime wedges, oranges! . I haven’t taken the time to try the County Clare block. Maybe this pm or tomorrow!

How adorable are those racoons. Too bad they can be so destructive when they're not being cute. Remember what Bonnie says, "it's not a race, it's supposed to take all year". I use the leader and ender technique all the time, but don't usually do Bonnie's blocks. I have too many unfinished projects as it is.

Those little raccoons are adorable! They do look surprised. Your Country Clare blocks look amazing, Diann; they do look like a fun project. An Arnold Palmer sounds wonderful. Sweet ice tea is my favorite drink all year round. Have a great weekend. Hugs.

Mike got a very fine capture there...so cute! It's not often you get the mother and the babies in one shot.
Just caught up on your posts, Diann. Bonnie's arrangement is very neat and certainly works for an enders and leaders project. Your Easy Breezy is lovely.
No tomato can match the taste of home grown.
Happy Stitching!
