To-Do Tuesday #171

This view of my design wall shows what I have and have not been working on this week!

  • Stay at Home Round Robin ✅️ Yes, I made four sets of flying geese.
  • Pink blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color for February. ✅️  Shown above  are zipper blocks and bowties.  I finished my Table Scraps Challenge project, too - more on that at the end of the week.
  • I did not get the chandelier quilt sandwiched for quilting, unfortunately. ❌️ Unexpected things took me away from my sewing room over the weekend, and I just didn't get to it.  That will stay on my list for the coming week!
I should have time this week to get going on basting and quilting the chandelier quilt.  Also I'm continuing to work on the Stay at Home Round Robin.  This week's prompt is from The Darling Dogwood, for square in a square blocks.  I started working on them this afternoon (Monday).

And made a few crumb blocks, too!

I've started making HSTs for the Scrap Dance Quadrille Mystery QAL over at From My Carolina Home.   This is the first step of the mystery, and I need to make quite a few more, so will keep this on the list for awhile.

What are you working on this week?
Linking up with Quilt Schmilt for To-Do Tuesday!

I was tempted to qal with Square Dance Quadrille Mystery, but have too many "irons in the fire" already. So I'll follow along vicariously! I like the bits of fabric I can see. Also your SAHRR is coming along so well. So cohesive and lovely. Next time, mine will be more thought out!
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. We got lots of snow Monday, then it started to go away, but a winter storm warning is in effect until Thursday noonish. Very cold, wind and more snow. I'm beginning to get tired of winter!

your wall looks so good with all your projects up there on it.

I find square in a square blocks can be challenging, I have been using foundation paper for a couple of the smaller sizes which works well for me. That chandelier quilt is going to be gorgeous. All the best with it this week.

Happy sewing week, Diann.

You have lots of pretty projects on the design wall. How wonderful to have a design wall as well. Thank you so much for telling about the QAL I will have to check it out. Your blocks are looking fabulous. Happy Tuesday, Diann.

Fun design wall. I am also working on HSTs for this years Scrap Dance! What size are you making? I'm only committing to a baby quilt at this point.

Hi Diann. Its always fun to see what you have on your design wall. Im jealous of it by the way. I end up using my bed since my sewing space is so tiny! Im enjoying seeing the progress on your projects and lok forward to seeing what you do on the Scrap Dance mystery. Im still debating to start or not. Good luck this week on your list. Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday

Oh life does have a way of throwing things at us when we want to sew. Well, at least you have them up on your design wall where you can keep a good eye on them all, right?
