Good morning! We caught this beautiful sunrise earlier this week.
You may not be able to see it, but there's a rabbit sitting out in the middle of our small cul de sac, near the neighbor's truck. I didn't realize I caught him in the photo until I was looking at it for this post!
We alternate between various streaming services every so often, and we recently started up our Netflix account again. One of the shows I wanted to watch was The Lincoln Lawyer, and we're now caught up through Season 4. I liked it a lot, and now I need another season! Meanwhile, I got the latest book in the series from the library. It's a good one, too - I'm almost finished with it, but I haven't figured out how it's going to end!
Carole, at From My Carolina Home, shared a beautiful Quilt of Valor that she's been working on recently in this post. She'd like to make several more, so asked for 12.5 inch star blocks to be sent in. I thought I could probably send her a few so got started on one yesterday. These pieces and parts should sew up pretty quickly this afternoon.
To make this sawtooth star block, I used tutorials from these ladies:
I'm so thankful for the wealth of skills
and information that quilt bloggers share with us!
LeeAnna's question of the week asks us to describe a romantic date. You all know how much we enjoy visiting the Oregon Coast. When we are there, I am all about the views - watching the ocean, listening to the waves, just relaxing and enjoying all that. So one of our favorite ways to do that is to have a picnic or a glass of wine with a view.
Being with my favorite person in our favorite place is just the best!
Hope you're having a great week!
And at Alycia Quilts for Finished or Not Friday.

What a sweet little rabbit hiding in plain sight. Your QOV block is nice! I love your photo with that view, and I totally agree with your sentiment. :)
Your morning sunrise views are awfully nice! When I'm at home, I enjoy watching the sun rise over Mt. Hood on clear days. That is one pretty star block!
We enjoy Lincoln Lawyer too. Yes, being with your favourite person is the best! Happy Valentine's Day!
Pretty sunrise, Diann. Lincoln Lawyer is on my list to watch. I better get to it before it goes away. A glass of good wine overlooking the Oregon Coast with my sweetie sounds perfect!
I love that sunrise. The Proving Ground was good and I am all caught up on the Lincoln Lawyer and liked it.
Oh that sunrise is gorgeous! Your blocks are lovely! Have a wonderful and romantic weekend!
Love the blocks, thank you so much!! We are also watching Lincoln Lawyer season 4, and it is hard not to binge watch it all at once. I hope the little rabbit stays out of the road.
We are watching the Lincoln Lawyer too - but!! I am making us re watch season 3 so that 4 doesn't go so fast haha!! Love your block!
Beautiful sunrise! A good book is a definite pleasure. I just finished reading the latest Eve Dallas book. Sounds like a wonderful date vacation. I think we need to have a date day soon, it's been stressful here.
How neat to catch the rabbit in your shot! Great post, Diann. Loved that photo too of the water. At home in Newfoundland it is all about the sea and I miss those constant views.
I have heard a lot about the Lincoln Lawyer, guess I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the link to Carole’s post as I love making sawtooth stars so should be able to get some in the mail to her too :)
