Patchwork and Embroidery Update

I've enjoyed spending some time just about every evening this week slow stitching on my latest Gail Pan embroidery piece.  It won't take much longer to finish it up!

In the book, this design is made into an adorable tote bag, which would be fun to have for carrying future embroidery projects!

Meanwhile, I've finished the sashing on the basket blocks and stitched them all together as well.

I've been thinking this needs an additional border, and there's lots of the cream with flowers left to use for that purpose!

Hopefully, there will be enough of the green or red for binding!

Sharing at Quilting is more fun than Housework for Oh Scrap!
And at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

Gail Pan's stuff is so cute. How fun to make a bag for future projects. I'm using the one bag I made of hers as a thread catcher next to my sewing machine.

I love Gail Pan's designs but don't do a lot of embroidery - I'm glad I got the santa's traced out to take with me to do for something new for the holidays

Very good finding stitching time each evening. Such a darling embroidery block is a good motivator. Nice fabrics chosen for the binding.

What a nice way to set embroidered blocks! Hmm, I've got some vintage ones in the basement ...

Your new embroidery project is going to be adorable in either a bag or small wall hanging. Ooooh I'd like it for a sewing machine cover too!

You could always alternate the green and red fabric for the binding. I really like that Gail Pan embroidery.

Love how those little baskets turned into such an adorable quilt! Love the sentiment on your current stitchery. I really need to get off the hand held games and stitch at night again.
