The view from the start of the trail - "ahhhhhhh!" You need this once in awhile!
It was a really pretty day - warm, sunny, and clear blue sky, which we haven't seen much of this summer because of all the fires out here in the West.
The trail followed along the North Fork of the Big Thompson River. I love the sound of a river running by!
I really like taking pictures of my husband, Mike, involved in his favorite activity!
He always gets some good ones!
So enjoyable!
Happy Thursday, friends! Hope you are having a great week!

your Mike is like my Mike always a camera in his hands and my photos are often from the back or side with the him taking a photo and never looking in my direction it seems - love those areas of Colorado!
I sure wish I was there. What a beautiful GREEN place. Everything is still dead here fromthe heat. .
Such beauty!
Getting back to nature is always a good choice!
Hi Diann! Ahhh, I can just hear that river twinkling by and the stress evaporating. I can't help but notice you are almost to your two year anniversary of posting these likes! How cool is that?! ~smile~ Roseanne
there is just something about being out in the wild; the silence, the hush of the wind in the trees...so comforting and re-energizing... hugs, Julierose
Beautiful scenery. Glad you have blue skies again.

Oh, that running water. I can't wait for it to cool a bit more and hike some more.
What a beautiful place to hike. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing a perfect day with us! I love your photos!!!
I'll say it again - you are so lucky to live near mountains! So, so pretty. We haven't hiked in mountains since our kids were in school. Those vacations were just the best. On one of our trips we stayed in Durango and hiked around Silverton. So beautiful!
Thanks, Michelle! It was a beautiful day!
Looks like a wonderful place to hike. Hope you can get in a few more with the cooler weather before it starts to really get cold.
