More with purple!

My stash enhancement purchase of purple last week was really helpful when it came to cutting squares for the 16 patch stars I wanted to make this week.  I tried to roughly sort them into the more lavender shades and the darker purple shades, although there are definitely some that could go in either block!

Once you sew the corner triangles to make the stars, it doesn't take long to sew up the whole block.

I'd say these two have a pretty good lighter/darker contrast.

I'm not sure what kind of final layout I'll end up with for these yet, but it's fun to just see them all together.

As leaders and enders, while sewing these blocks together, some tiny four patches were made.  These are organized by red-purples and blue-purples.  They will eventually become gameboard blocks.

Your blocks are so pretty, Diann. Your new acquisitions were perfect for these blocks. I like the idea of making 4 patches for the game board blocks too. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.

Awesome purple blocks. I plan to get started on my purple Gameboard blocks this weekend. I didn't have a purple 16-patch center leftover from before, so that will be my first step too.

You have the best fabrics! Love the flowers tossed on what could be a manuscript, letter or journal. And oh, those off center star blocks are such fun.

It is nice to see your star blocks all together. You've done a great job with your purples... I haven't even thought about them for this month. So I'm happy you have reminded me! Have a quilty week.
