The July heart mini quilt I was working on last week is (finally!) fully finished and hanging on the entryway chest with other July items. I should probably start working on the August mini so that I don't get behind like I did this last month!
After finishing that up and getting started on my purple projects for July in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I was able to focus on getting the quilting done on Glowing Hearts. And it is done!
I really like the blue-green batik I used for the backing, and the trimmings from the extra backing fabric that I cut off after quilting were sitting on my cutting table, so I decided they could turn into the binding.
So on Monday the binding was made and on Tuesday it was sewn onto the quilt, which means this will become an evening hand-stitching project for the next few nights to finish sewing the binding down.
And that means I can get back to sewing up these purple squares into some more RSC blocks for July!

You are a finishing machine! I need some sewing room time to move some of my UFO’s to the finish line…

Looks to me like you finished July pretty quickly. Cute hearts quilt!
Such a nice couple of finishes! I look forward to seeing that purple made into blocks!
Your heart mini looks so pretty on your chest! Yes Diann, get busy on the one for August so you won't be late - lol! :D I can't wait for your final photo of Glowing Hearts - I still LOVE it!
The July display looks great, Diann. Glowing Hearts will be a nice quilt to look at while binding it.
I like that large piece of batik you show in the turquoise type color - did you get that little quilt stand from Connecting Threads? I think they have one something like that
What lovely projects! That heart for July is so pretty. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
