I Like Thursday #412

Happy Halloween!  I've decorated as much as I'm going to.

The mason jar design is one of Melisa's that I stitched last year and fully finished this week.  She has a bunch of mason jar projects, but this is only one I've made so far.

Some people in our town go all out with their decorating, though!  There was an article in the newspaper about this house, so we drove downtown to see it and I had to snap a picture to share here on the blog.

Can you see the giant skeleton playing the organ keyboard that is on the roof?  And there is a giant spider (on the fence behind the corn stalks) playing the drums.
"Bonzart and the Spinnerets!"  Apparently at night they play music, too.

I don't expect much in the way of trick-or-treaters tonight, but we have a little bit of candy if anyone shows up.  Smarties are a safe candy to have in our house because I'm not tempted by them.  Anything chocolate and I can't stay away from it!

Have a great day!

You've done more decorating than I have for the holiday. We'll have trick or treaters, but probably not a lot, it's a school night.

The house decorations are so funny - lol - and I missed the spider first time and had to click on it again to locate it! There is one house down the street from us that puts up a huge Jack Skellington. In November he gets a Santa hat - lol! Smarties is a very good choice for handing out and not being tempted. ;)

I saw a giant skeleton the other day on the way to my dentist appointment I don't know how tall it was and how they secured it - it was very tall. That is a neat set up they have at that house

Your Halloween decorations are perfectly placed. I have to say I do a bit more though. Lol! I love Halloween decorations. I will say that only a windsock and jack o'lanterns are outdoors for us. We have a couple of houses in our neighborhood also that could hang out with your neighbor. Boo! Trick or treat!

That is quite the band set up in the yard! I hope it is spooky music playing at night.

That house is terrific! We have several in our town with those gi-normous skeletons, but playing the house organ is priceless! When you said you have Smarties because you can't resist chocolate at first I thought wait a minute... but those are not what we call Smarties which are candy-coated chocolates similar to M&Ms! I've already sampled two of our chocolates to hand out because ya gotta make sure they're okay right? ;-)

Wow - that is quite the decorated house! We just came back from Montague's festivites. Love how some people really get into the spirit of things.

I like your autumn home made decorations, Diann!!! Especially the basketful! It turned into a snowy day here in Minnesota and as a result, we've only had 3 trick or treaters! They were all from our cul-de-sac, our neighbors, so we were glad to have them come anyway!

Your mason jar stitch is so cute. And it goes so well with your black cat!! Interesting house. Some people do go all out! We had more trick or treaters than usual. And it’s cold! 37F right now! 8pm

Cute Halloween decor, Diann. I haven't stitched any of Melisa's jar series...yet. They are super cute. They were very creative with decorating that house. I see those huge skeletons and wonder how they store those things.

My pumpkins haven't even peeked out of their bins yet! Maybe before Thanksgiving, if I get my wiggle on. We don't get trick or treaters here, so I don't buy any candy.
