Here is my flower garden in March! It's still needing the Spring clean-up, but things are starting to grow - like tulips and grape hyacinths.
And this is what my flower garden looks like by about mid-summer or so, or at least what I *hope* it will look like! Every year is different in our yard, and we actually need to dig up and re-do this little garden area.
LeeAnna's question of the week is what is our favorite flower. For me, it depends what time of year you're asking. In the Spring it is daffodils, which I've seen are already blooming in some of your gardens. Not here yet, though. This is a photo from April of 2021.
Since then I haven't had any daffodils bloom - they just seem to have disappeared!
I need to plant more bulbs this fall.
If you ask me later in the year, it is sunflowers. We usually try to plant a few seeds every year, and sometimes we actually get them to grow!
When it's not growing season for flowers around here, I always enjoy stitching some, and right now I'm working on the March heart in Melisa's Year of Hearts SAL. Of course, it features daffodils, so I had to stitch them first!

I love how your stitched daffodil garden is filling in! When I was a kid, roses were my favorite flower because of the petals and the scent. As a young wife, I added geraniums to my favorite list. Now, if it will bloom in our yard, it makes it on my list of favs!
I just like wandering around my yard everyday to see what is blooming! My hellebores are blooming now as well as the primroses. The daffodils are in bud. I always admire your embroidery Gail at the cozy quilter.
Clean up garden is on my list too. That will probably be on my list for next week. Lovely flowers. We don't plant much, but we do get a fair amount of wild flowers in the spring and summer. The bees and butterflies love our yard. Hope you are getting some spring sunshine and temps with much less snow.

Our crocuses have just started to bloom. Isn't it exciting to see the little bits of green start to push through?
I haven’t noticed many flowers appearing, but maybe soon. I saw the “first robin” this week! We didn’t get the snow here that happened in some of Colorado. Did you get some or maybe tomorrow ?
