Happy Tuesday, and welcome to my first To-Do Tuesday post of 2023! Like most of you, I've been spending a lot of time thinking about how to get myself organized for the new year, especially in the sewing room.
I ended 2022 with several works in progress (or are they UFOs? I'm not sure when one becomes the other!) that I'm going to continue to work on towards finishes this year. So, one thing that really needs to be on my to-do list this week is an organized list of projects for 2023!
But first, there are a couple of projects that need to be finished in January, and I've really been focusing on them the last couple weeks.
- The Arizona tablerunner gift is quilted!
- The blog hop project is next up to be quilted. Here are the blocks that it's made up of. I have it all together and sandwiched for quilting.
Here's the blog hop I'll be a part of later in the month:
My day is January 21st!
So, on my list for the coming week:
- Get organized!
- Trim and bind the Arizona tablerunner.
- Quilt the blog hop project.
These should be doable! Joining in with To-Do Tuesday at our new host's place - Carol at Quilt Schmilt.

Happy New Year Diann. Looks like you are off to a great start getting organized. Your Arizona runner is beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing your Blog Hop project. Thank you for linking up with To Do Tuesday. 😉
Oh I love that runner! It's gorgeous! You always get a lot accomplished each year and I think it is because you are so well organized! Have a wonderful day!
I love Villa Rosa designs; can't wait to see what you come up with.
I love the colors you used in that table runner, it's so pretty. I am really looking forward to your block hop project!
Hi Diann,
Arizona table runner is so pretty, love the color you chose for this project, and I like also the quilting. Looking forward to seeing the reveal of your Fast and Fun project.
I would like to be as organized as you are.
Have a Wonderful and Happy 2023!
great start to the year - I love that table runner
Looking forward to your day on the blog hop! I think you've a great start toward being organized for 2023!
Whoo Hoo! The Arizona table runner is headed toward the finish line. I’m excited to pop into the blog hop! The blues are lovely! I’m hoping for a more organized new year also!
Oh, I love that table runner... the colors are so soft and pretty. I've got a new great granddaughter due in March, so I had to do some searching in my newly organized 'stash' room to find the baby quilt panels that I wanted... finally found them this morning - in a bin clearly marked "baby quilts". DUH! lol It doesn't always pay to be organized.
Now, to find something to make for her big brother who hasn't received a quilt from me yet (shame on me!).
oh a new blog hop - pretty projects
Happy New Year. Your Arizona table runner is looking really lovely, love the soft colours. Your blog hop project looks really interesting and a little mysterious!
Nothing slow about your stitching in 2023. You are already off to a fabulous start. Love the Arizona table runner. All those neat HSTs - oh my!
Good sense prevailed and I declined the Villa Rosa Blog Hop. I will be cheering for you!.
Looks like you'll be off and running in 2023! Happy New Year!
Looks like you have a focus and I know you will get all of it done! I carried too many projects from years past into 2023, so my goal is to get those off the list. And the new frame is going to help that plan.
Pretty Arizona TR and I love the blue blocks too. Even if a project was WIP last year, I call it UFO this year. :)
Your Arizona Tablerunner is gorgeous, Diann. I am looking forward to seeing what you create for the blog hop. Have an awesome week. Hugs.
Hi Diann! Getting organized is a fabulous idea and goal for the week. I like to have a list of the projects that we know we need to work on for the year. The Arizona table runner turned out great. I think that's the perfect color binding - it will really pull it all together. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
The Arizona runner is a beauty! Can't wait to see your quilt for the blog hop - I got mine quilted yesterday, so today is binding day.
