Welcome to my day on the Villa Rosa Designs blog hop! I'm pleased to be able to join in by sharing one of their Fast and Fun designs. If you aren't familiar with Villa Rosa Designs, here's some great background information directly from the blog hop launch post at the link above.
"Villa Rosa Designs is the brainchild of owner and Rose Queen, Pat Fryer. Pat wanted to create Fast & Fun, affordable, and high quality patterns for quilters featuring precuts like 1/2 yards, fat quarters, 10″ squares, 5″ squares, 2 1/2″ strips, fat eighths, and fat sixths as well as other fabric cuts like panels and novelty fabrics."
When I saw the design called "Snow Goose," I knew it was one I wanted to make. This one makes a tablerunner, so definitely in the fast category, and a lot of fun because I could pull from my dark blue scraps, too.

because this is definitely a scrappy project!
Snow geese!
1.
Hi
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. When using scraps just go until you run out of what you picked. The runner fit the area. I was thinking to adjust the size of geese and make it a bed runner. And turn the geese north and next row south. Would appropriate for our current weather. Freezing the very warm. My geese would be confused at where to be. Haha
Enjoyed your Blog.
I love it. Blue is my favorite quilting color.
ReplyDeleteSnow Geese in blues - very pretty!
ReplyDeleteJo sent me. Thanks for the idea that a table runner can be used different places like a dresser, not just on a dining table. The Snow Goose pattern is simple and quick enough to make in a different colorway for each month/holiday.
ReplyDeleteNice blues! If I sewed until I tan out of blue scraps, it would make a very long runner! Great project.
ReplyDeleteWhite and Blue can't go wrong, always a great color combo. Snow Geese runner looks perfect for your dresser.
ReplyDeleteYour table runner is lovely! This pattern would work so well for lots of different color combinations. I could see using it for seasonal table runners as well.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great table topper! I don't usually make table runners because they are too long for any of my furniture but this is great since you can easily make it shorter.
ReplyDeleteLove your Snow Goose runner! Great idea to make it shorter! That’s one if the things I love about VRD patterns! Thanks for being part of the blog hop.

ReplyDeleteDiann -great job!!! Love the way this looks on your dresser. The best part of the post (for me) was seeing the picture of the snow geese - it is gorgeous and a perfect match with the pattern. So were you left with tiny HST's from the stitch and flip process? I have so many of those and really should use them up!
