Fun with the Frosties

There's been no measurable snow in Colorado for something like 226 days (almost a record), but I don't need snow to make a snowman!  First there's this guy, Vicki's Welcome Frosty pattern, who now has a face.

The nose is made of orange felt, appliqued down with the button-hole stitch.
I back stitched his mouth with black perle cotton no. 8.
Now it's time to find a backing and figure out how to quilt this guy!

Then there are these guys - the first three in the Frosty McChill series that Melisa at PinkernPunkin Quilting has been offering on her blog every Thursday.  These are so simple and fun to stitch!

I love that each one has a different hat.
And Frosty's little bird friend - so cute!

Right now I'm working on block 4 - "Just A Sweeping" and this will be my slow Sunday stitching today.

  4. love your snowmen! here we have been low on rain and in the beginning of a drought if we do not get rain soon - the weathermen this week are saying for the next 7 days we have rain chances but are mixed on how much we get - I hope for at least an inch as we need it and if we don't I will actually have to water some newer plants so they don't die over winter.
