It's been several weeks since I was able to write a To-Do Tuesday post, so I had to look way back to see what plans I had made earlier in September.
Of course, one project I really need to focus on is Positivity, and it is now a completed quilt top! Yay!
I also had orange projects on my list for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge color of the month, and I think all of those are done, too.
So, on this week's list?
- I really want to focus on some finishes during the month of October. That includes Positivity, which will need batting and backing purchased, and then layers basted together.
- Another finish that I hope to get to is my Rainbow 4 Patch quilt, and here's where it stands at this point.
Over the weekend I webbed the blocks/rows together,
and just have the last three long seams to sew up. I have batting for it and can piece a backing (because this one is baby sized), so I'd like to be quilting it by this time next week.
- But then, there's always the occasional squirrel project, and I caught one (or it caught me!) over the weekend. I embroidered this fun little Fall design from Pinker n' Punkin Quilting. Next step is a scrappy border (which I've been working on this afternoon - Monday) and then quilting.
Leave some time for Autumn Jubilee!! Starts tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteSoon you will have all of these finished!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to have two finished quilts! Love the reds on the plus quilt, and your rainbow 4-patch is really pretty. I still think that blue background was a genius decision. The "a" on that pumpkin is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with To Do Tuesday!
I can't web sew - everything hooked together gets in my way and I rather have them stuck to a design wall I guess. The positivity quilt is looking good and you are almost done!
ReplyDeleteWhoo Hoo for finishes. I'm excited to see Rainbow 4-patch all done! And your little FALL stitching is so cute. It's a great to-do list! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYour positivity top looks great! Love the rainbow 4-patch, too. Perfect solid for the alternate blocks!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a cute squirrel to give the day a happy glow! I like your version of Positivity.
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually one for rainbow quilts but I love your version with the blue. This will be gorgeous! And Positivity turned out beautifully too. As for squirrels, there seems to be little to stope them from showing up...
ReplyDeleteNice finish on your Poz quilt, Diann! You have some fun projects lined up!
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are going to be SEW lovely, Diann. Happy quilting!!
ReplyDeleteRed and white and absolutely darling. Love your take on the Positivity. Looks like that the 4-patch RSC quilt will be a lovely finish too. have you picked out backing and binding?
ReplyDeleteI love your "take" on the Positivity quilt--really wonderful work. Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! Oh, Positivity looks fabulous. I really love the red and white together in all of its scrappy goodness. It just makes me smile and it will certainly give someone some positivity. Rainbow 4-patch has really come together nicely, too. You are nearly ready to quilt and put it in the finished pile! Good luck this week. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeletePositivity turned out beautifully!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finishes, Diann! Positivity just pulses with energy and the Rainbow 4-patch is just beautiful. What a sweet little embroidery you've got going too! (Just saw Arenado get another homerun. Cardinals going for #17-in-a-row wins!)
ReplyDeleteYour red and white Positivity quilt is beautiful. Your 9 patch scrappy RSC quilt is moving along. Good luck with this week's to do list.
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! I'm pretty sure your pink flowers are coreopsis. It's a perennial that will come back every year with a little babying. The pink version isn't as hardy as the more common yellows. Your apples look delicious - what variety are they? So glad you tried and like the Dunkin' cold brew. It's nice and smooth, isn't it?!! HAHAHAHAHA! I LOVE the meme you shared. Oh so true. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteYour Positivity is so pretty!
