Slow Stitching this week

Earlier this week, I finished up the fourth of the little embroidery designs I've been working on.  There are nine in the original pattern I printed off, but I chose my four favorite ones to stitch and then out together for a little wall-hanging.

I sewed them together with some pink sashing and added a border of mini charms from a package of Caroline by Brenda Riddle Designs for Moda.  Very sweet and soft colors!

The pattern directions say to outline each block with a running stitch, but  I decided to make that a part of the quilting.  So I got everything layered and pinned and that will be my slow stitching project for the next few days.

"Sew Happy" to be finishing this up!

  15. What a great idea to make the running stitch part of the quilting. I probably never would have thought of that. Another cute little project. You're sewing (and stitching) up a storm. (I probably shouldn't say that too loudly, huh?)
