I have been seeing little improv, scrappy houses all over Instagram and quilting blogs for weeks! It turned into one of those "I just have to try this" projects this week.
I seem to be gathering up lots of solid scraps these days, so I pulled out a pile of them.
And just started playing!
My first few little houses.
And then, you know how it goes... your brain starts going in all directions and more are created!
This must be a quilter's house!
A cat lives here!
I think this is a tree!
(or possibly just a large green lollipop!)
How about an owl snoozing in the tree?
Then I had to make a dog in his own little house!
Now there's a village!
I think this project has taken on a life of its own! More to come...

ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! You really do have a village! It looks like you had a lot of fun making each house and letting your mind wander with ideas! To me, the tree looks like one a water tower! Have fun constructing the rest of your village...or will it be a city?!

What a fun little improv project! You could add pieces for a long time, just like a real village grows bit by bit :)
