Like this pretty bouquet of marigolds that I cut from my garden to bring in the house the other day.
Or the view out the window where I sit and read every day.
I don't know if you can tell, but there's a hint of fall in those turning leaves out there. I love the changing of the seasons!
This little bushtit was part of a larger group that found our feeders the other day. We think they must pass through in spring and fall. Usually there are 6 or more at a time flitting back and forth, but they are quick, so it's hard to capture them all at once!

I've enjoyed adding a few more bits to my village project. How about a sun, and some birds?

We also enjoyed a walk around our downtown the other day, and watched some artists decorate the sidewalks with their pastels.
I think this one was my favorite.
And finally, I'm liking the apples we're picking right now.
They aren't the prettiest apples you'll ever see, but they do taste good! Maybe I should attempt a pie?! :)

Your houses and accessories are so cute! It almost seems like playing with dolls (for grownups). I’m going to have to try it, lol. We are feeling fall in the air here too - cooler mornings and evenings. More intense, slanted light. And the ever so slight drying and discoloration of a few leaves. I can’t wait!! And, as my brother would say, those apples look good enough to eat! (Wink)

ReplyDeleteHi Diann! I am sorry to hear about your MIL. It is very stressful and worrisome. It's rather like full circle - they have kids so that the kids can take care of them and worry about them as they age. I hope the long-term facility is close by. That will diminish the worries a bit, just knowing that she is in a place that keeps her safe and is with her round the clock. I was lucky to have my mom in an assisted living facility just a half mile from my house. I used to walk over when the weather allowed me to. {{Hugs}} for both of you. I think you village pieces are so nice, and that pretty light blue sure looks like the sky there as I remember it! ~smile~ Roseanne

ReplyDeleteDiann, I'm so sorry your MIL is getting worse. My Mom was able to be with us until she died, but it was very difficult during her last year. I remember when she had to put my Granny in a nursing home. I think it was harder on Mom than it was on Granny! I'll pray for her and your family.

ReplyDeleteI picked a bunch of apples last week at my folks' up in the mountains and they really are tasty. No worries about the pretty- I just eat around the worms. That sidewalk are is really lovely, i'm glad you got to see it. I'm so sorry to hear your MIL isn't doing well!
