Progress on some slow stitching

I've continued to work on the same two projects this week as I shared last week - Baby Flake and a Halloween stitch.  Baby Flake is all finished up with a narrow border, a little bit of quilting, and a fold over binding.

Since the snow has all melted and our nice fall weather is back,
I'll put him away until it really is winter!

Meanwhile, I'm still trying to finish up the Halloween Jar.  Mr. Jack-o-lantern is finished, and the black cat is very close!  Can you see his face starting to emerge?  I love the orange bow around his neck!

This was last night before I started stitching.

But after a couple hours of stitching and just before bedtime... all done!

Isn't this cute?!  And it will be all ready for next Halloween, lol!
Now I need to stitch a turkey.

  1. You are all caught up on these seasonal projects. Will the Turkey be in a mason jar too?

  4. Too cute! I wish my glasses would cooperate for cross stitch. Maybe next year I'll take a sample with me and tell the eye tech I need to be able to do THIS!

  8. Yay for getting your Halloween jar all stitched up! I dug out one of the cross stitch turkeys I stitched from Melissa's pattern and made it into a little pillow yesterday.

Baby Flake is finished perfectly and is so cheerful to brighten up those winter days. Love the fabric you used and aah that sweet snowman peeking out behind the mini. And your Halloween Jar is spectacular!!! Have a wonderful day. Hugs.

  13. Two projects done! Good for you! The Halloween stitch is adorable. I too am looking for a Turkey to stitch or maybe a long narrow one I spotted over at Melisa’s site. If I remember correctly it is THANKSGIVING with a pilgrim hat!

  15. Neat to see how the cat and the background designs emerged. I bet you were so happy to have that very early piece for next Halloween finished. The fun thing will be putting it away and then having the little surprise in finding it when you get your decorations out next year.

  16. Both projects are really cute, but that black Cat is my favorite. Probably because it reminds me of Grad Girl's Queenie.
