It has been a week of lots of To-Dos, many of them not in the sewing room!
- Wednesday: Get a new TV for Mom and get it installed ✅️
- Thursday/Friday: Quick road trip up to visit older son ✅️
- Saturday: Yard clean-up and leaf raking ✅️
This was the second pick-up load of leaves,
and that's just the front yard!
Finally on Sunday I was able to check a big To-Do off my list, and that was to get Full Stop spray basted and ready to quilt! ✅️✅️✅️
I'm always so happy to get that job done!
Of course quilting Full Stop is a major item on this week's to-do list, but there are a few other miscellaneous things that I would really like to get to.
- Finish up my Table Scraps projects for October.
- Work on Autumn Jubilee. Eight blocks are made - I need to decide on the layout, sew them together, and add borders to make the tablerunner size.
I love the colours in your Autumn Jubilee quilt, and your full stop one looks intriguing, hoe you share a photo of the front soon!

Your autumn jubilee table runner looks very nice, it's a great pattern design. It will be nice to have your full stop quilt finished, it's a fun quilt! Those leaves keep on falling, we've been removing leaves also, happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics in your autumn jubilee quilt. We have been raking leaves here too. Have fun quilting your basted project!
ReplyDeleteBoth projects look great! Have fun sewing this week.
ReplyDeleteThe Autumn Jubilee blocks are such pretty colors! I’ll be interested to see what you choose for the final layout. Good luck on this week’s goals.
ReplyDeletelove that backing fabric for your quilt. I have not even started on leaf's - in my yard I have several trees that are always very slow to loose their leafs so I do not think about it until the beginning of December most years if I do it before that in November I only do so it won't be quite as many to take care of in December
ReplyDeleteI understand about some life chores taking precedence over the sewing room! I'm sure we all do. We haven't raked leaves yet but have now had snow and wind, so there will be leaves to get rid of.
ReplyDeleteSo excited that you got Full Stop spray basted. That is a big job. Now on to quilting, another big job. Your Autumn blocks are so pretty. Looking forward to that one too!
Did you see a lot of fall color on your trip? I bet your Mom is enjoying her new TV. And mostly importantly, did you and Mike jump into the pile of leaves in the back of the pickup? ;) I just love your Autumn Jubilee colors. Yay on getting Full Stop ready to quilt. Thank you for sharing with To Do Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYay for getting Full Stop spray basted! That’s a big job. Autumn Jubilee is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI really should concentrate on non-sewing projects this week....we will see. Maybe a little of both. I can't wait to see Full Stop. I need to pull mine and figure out what to do with it. Have a great week and can't wait to see the finished runner this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very good accomplishment to get Full Stop basted, now you can quilt on it here and there when you have time. Living out in the country we don't rake leaves until it gets spring and then we only rake it out of the flower beds and DH comes along with his lawn sweeper and it sucks it into the basket and then he dumps it out in trees.
ReplyDeleteAutumn Jubilee blocks look fantastic for a table runner. So nice tha Full Stop is prepared for quilting. WOW there are a mountain of leaves there.
ReplyDeleteYay for a finished sandwich. I like those blocks.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of leaves! Looking at the photo with all the autumn leaves around you I can see that its a big job. Getting a quilt sandwich together is always a task and then of course all the best for the quilting.
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics and colors of Autumn Jubilee just sing! So lovely! Have fun quilting Full Stop!
