Some hand quilting stitches were put into the hexie flower quilt. I think I only have a couple blocks left to finish and then the sashing and borders.
I also got started on "Autumn Brew" this week, and it's going to be fun! There are a lot of browns (stems and acorns) and a bit of orange/dark green variegated (leaves), so I've done a little coloring in places to bring out the different shades and shapes.
Yesterday Kathy Schmitz sent out the October One Stitch at a Time design, and it's adorable! I know I'm going to want to make it, so I'd better get busy today and stitch up all those leaves in the tea cup!

Love how you are hand quilting your hexies, it looks so springly. I have some hexies left over, maybe I'll apply them like you did, I like your idea.
ReplyDeleteWOW "Autumn Brew" is a pretty pattern and your embroidery looks so beautiful. Are you coloring it with crayons?
Happy Sunday and happy stitching!!
I can see why you want to stitch that new embroidery design! Both are so cute for the fall! Your hexie quilt is lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery looks perfect with the coloring. Oh my the new pumpkin wheelbarrow looks fun too! Happy stitchin'!
ReplyDeleteYour hand stitching looks great on that hexie quilt. I like the coloring you did on Autumn Brew, I still need to gather my courage and try that! I may have to join Kathy's One Stitch at a Time next year.

ReplyDeleteYour hand quilting stitches look nice and even. I love the autumn embroidery you're working on, the October one looks like fun also, happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteBoth designs are adorable, and I love the added color you added. The hexie quilt is looking great with each added stitch. Enjoy the games today.
ReplyDeleteYou have some fabulous projects going on this weekend, Diann. I love the Autumn Brew. Have a great Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSweet embroideries from Kathy Schmitz. You'll do a good job on them this beautiful Sunday. Have a fun day watching your Broncos!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour tinting on your current squirrel project. The new October one is lovely, I’d be like you itching to start the next one!
ReplyDeleteYou do find the prettiest embroidery patterns!
ReplyDeleteTwo things: I love how you are using your hexies and I love those simple little embroidery patterns. I have several hexie flowers wanting a purpose, so your example gives me a really good idea for mine. I have several simple embroidery projects waiting for some of my attention - perhaps this week???
ReplyDeleteOooh, pretty! I really like the sashing fabric.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting and your embroidery are both very pretty.
ReplyDeleteMissed checking in on slow stitching on Sunday. Busy at our Quilt Show. Love that tea cup and good job with the coloring. It really does add to the look of an embroidery design.
