Oof! It's a hot weekend here in Colorado!
A good one for some slow stitching in front of the fan.
This week I've stitched up a couple more purple plus blocks. I'm enjoying these pretty purple fabrics!
I also put some stitches into the Kathy Schmitz teacup design. Those little blue flowers (all lazy daisy stitch) took two evenings! I'm sure I'll pick this up again this week sometime.
For today I got out the EPP hexies I'd been working on. For some reason I set them aside, but I'm ready to work on them again.
One is prepped to applique to the background square, and some pieces are cut to make another - this time in that pretty lilac floral print that I also used for a plus block.
Hope you're staying cool where you are, and
enjoying some slow stitching today!

Love your little stitchery. I could never master lazy-daisy stitch, always pulled it too tight.
ReplyDeleteLove that teacup stitchery, I need to have something like that to keep my hands busy. It's been a while since I did any embroidery.
ReplyDeleteThose lazy daisy flowers might have taken a little while but they are so pretty. Loving your teacup stitchery. Those hexies look fabulous on the white fabric.
ReplyDeleteThe purple plus blocks are fun!
ReplyDeleteLittle flowers in the teacup are cute! Love your little hexies, too.
ReplyDeleteOMG. 104? We were a comfortable 74 yesterday. But, boy, do we need rain (apparently like a large number of other areas, based on blog comments). Your purples are lovely. I have to laugh at you and several other quilters saying you have very little purple. I'm drowning in purple and everyone in my group knows that if they need purple, just call Pat.
ReplyDeletePat
Omg! over 100* that's too much.
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery looks fabulous 😍
Southern Idaho's in for a l-o-n-g week of high temps, too! Hallelujah for air conditioning/fans! You tea cup is looking great! Stitch away!!
ReplyDeleteYour lazy daisies look sweet. Back in the early 2000s I embroidered up a storm and there was no stitch too complicated for me. Now I struggle with each one - age? Lol! Hope you are staying cool. It is going to be "cooler" here today at 98 instead of in the 100s - oh boy!
ReplyDeleteI find that I am enjoying stitching lazy daisy stitches lately. That embroidery is so sweet. I like all the purple fabrics you put in your plus sign blocks. The hexies are very colorful. I hope you can stay cool. Hoping for cooler weather for you soon.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty little embroidery piece, and as always, I love those plus blocks.
ReplyDeleteSweet tea cup stitchery. Lovely hexie blocks! I have a hexie quilt planned too.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I can’t believe how high your temps are! Your background fabric with those purple blocks is precious!
ReplyDeleteYour teacup looks gorgeous! Yes, slow stitching can indeed be…well…slow! 😊
Your hexie flowers really pop on that background! Happy Stitching!
