I Like Thursday #285

Spring has finally arrived in No. Colorado!  It took its time, but was worth the wait!

After a dry and windy April, we have even had some refreshing rain showers the last few days, and everything is greening up.  My Lilies of the Valley are blooming again - they didn't bloom at all last year.

I've been sewing flowers, too.  EPP hexie flowers - so fun!

Do you watch "Young Sheldon?"  We've never watched "The Big Bang Theory," but somehow got attached to Young Sheldon and watch it whenever we can catch reruns streaming somewhere.    Sheldon and his family make me laugh and think, all at the same time!

Hope you're having a good week!  Whatever you think of the latest news, this is some good advice from the Sweatpants and Coffee ladies.

I'm joining in with LeeAnna and friends
for "I Like Thursday" at Not Afraid of Color.

  1. Your lily of the valley is much further than mine. But the Bradford pears are blooming finally, and the red bud. I am told my youngest grandson Cayden is like a young Sheldon, which is frightening. LOL

  2. My Lily of the Valley are not doing anything. They are in my north facing back yard, so sheltered, but also less sun. My fingers are crossed that they will bloom. They smell so good! We watch and rewatch Big Bang Theory! I like Young Sheldon too! It’s that time of year when we have to find other shows to watch as most of our regulars are “Repeats”!

  3. I'm always amazed at plants that I think are gone that suddenly reappear - I know you're happy about those Lilies of the Valley. I like your hexies!

  4. I planted Lily of the Valley, but I think it doesn't get enough sun. The leaves come up, but no blossoms. We are finally having warm weather here, so things should begin to bloom soon!

  5. my lily of the valley's have been blooming for several weeks and always flower - they are in an area where they get sun and shade. I haven't watched either of the shows you mention I really got tired of comedy's about 20 years ago when to me they were no longer just funny but always aimed at sex jokes - I like the older comedies.

  6. Hi,
My Lilacs are blooming...so aromatic. The Peach and Apple trees bloomed early
so they are done. Your Hexie flowers are really cute. I've not seen Young
Sheldon...I'll have to look for that. And I really like your little sign at
the end....so true. Have a great day!

  7. Well, I wrote a comment, clicked to send and it disappeared. Anyway, I'm glad spring is finally catching up with you. It's so refreshing to see all the bulbs, flowering trees and shrubs putting on their show and chasing away the winter doldrums. And the wise sentiments in the last frame are a reminder that we need to look for the good around us as the whole world seems to have gone berserk. Have a good weekend.

  9. I'm so glad spring has come to some parts of the country! It's taking its own sweet time to get here! We had snow yesterday (it melted quickly though). We do watch Young Sheldon and the Big Bang Theory before that. Always good for a smile and a laugh! Thanks for the Sweatpants and Coffee advice - very much needed for this time in our history. Stitch away and enjoy the flowers.
