Slow Stitching Progress

I haven't touched my sewing machine all week, but it's been a great week for hand stitching.  My mom has been at my house and we've spent most of the week working on moving her into her new apartment.  Evenings have been spent relaxing with a TV show on, so that's when I got out needle and thread.

I was able to get all the main parts made for the Harmony wall-hanging.

I think this is my favorite fabric in the bundle.  Marshmallows on sticks - so cute!

This week I'll be working on sewing these bigger sections together into the quilt top!    Linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

Also sharing at Elm Street Quilts for the Rectangle Unit Link-up.

  2. Looks good, Diann. Glad you & Mom are enjoying these days together and that the move has gone smoothly for Mom. I guessing her apartment is close to you and I'm hoping she makes lots of new friends.

  3. your stitching is good and it is important to have spent this week getting your mom ready to move into her new apartment, I know you said your sister was coming with her belongings. Before long she will be settled in and you all can get into a regular routine and maybe she will start to meet some people in her senior complex if she wishes.

  8. I really like this hand-pieced wall hanging, especially with that marshmallow fabric. I used some of that same fabric in a camping quilt for my brother and his wife.
