Stay at Home Round Robin Update

Making wonky stars this week for Round 5:

These are so great for using up little bits of the different fabrics!
They remind me of a star burst.

Meanwhile, I've been mulling over what to do with my stars.  These strips and squares aren't sewn together yet, just a possible layout for this round.

Now that it's time for Round 6 to be introduced, I'll have some more mulling to do.   This is like a giant puzzle in fabric!

Update to my update!  Round 6 is log cabins and I've worked them in with Round 5's stars.  Can you see them?

  1. You are doing a fantastic job, Diann! I love this proposed layout for the Wonky Stars border. I'm glad I get to watch your progress. I'm also glad it's you and not me!

  4. Well, first, I love the colors you are using. Second, those wonky stars are just so cute. I think this will be a beautiful little quilt when finished. And you have coped beautifully with the loss of your main sewing machine. Good luck with the repairs.

  5. Oh, I think this is the first I've seen of your SAHRR. Looks wonderful and I love the color scheme. I thought of participating but then decided not to because I have too many medallion quilts already in process. But I might use some of the SAHRR ideas I've seen for rounds on my WIPS.

  8. I, too, like the wonky stars as cornerstones. I was trying to imagine having to do the ugh math to figure out how to make a row of them to fit each side. Love the color combinations, too.
