This week in scraps...

brought to you by the color yellow!  

I had the yellow scrap bin out to find strips for the Covered in Love blocks I was making, so I just kept going and made a couple of wonky stars and some crumb blocks, too.

The crumb blocks will go into the project box for my 2021 RSC project, "Precarious."

The wonky stars are up on the design wall with the Easy Breezy blocks I've made this year.


Meanwhile I've also been sewing string blocks together into rows for the Diamond Strings quilt that I've been working on forever, it seems!  A little pressing is needed, and then these rows will become a quilt top.


One last bit of yellow to share - one of my favorite ornaments on the Christmas tree, which was decorated yesterday.

This came from the M&M store in Las Vegas,

    Love these blocks! The yellow ones are so cheerful! I love your diamond strip quilt! It looks fab! The wonky stars look great with your easy breezy blocks! Have a great weekend!

    Smart of you to keep your scrap bin out to make extra blocks! Your Easy Breezy blocks might be my favorites of your creations. We visited that M&M store back in the 1990s! We just love those little characters.

    I love the M&M's decoration it really is cute. I thought the string blocks were done for some reason and I have always liked that one. Finished this year?

    Yellow is such a happy colour. I loved reading that you are working on RSC 2021 project too, seems a lot of us are thinking what we would like to do next year. The stars and Easy Breezy blocks go so nicely together.

    You always have such pretty projects! Some in progress, blocks here and there. But they all end up being inspiring and gorgeous! Love the ornament! My daughter bought her dad a toilet paper roll ornament his year. Which is hilarious because he had a few freakout moments earlier this year!!
