To-Do Tuesday #63

Good morning!  I'm checking in today with my weekly to-do list and linking up with Roseanne and friends for the To-Do Tuesday linky party at Home Sewn By Us

I kept it simple last week, with two goals in mind, and both were accomplished!

1.  Finish piecing the top for my Autumn Jubilee wall-hanging, which I'm calling Cheddar and Blue.  I finished the piecing, and even got it quilted, and I'm now sewing on the binding!  Here's a photo of quilting in progress:

I'll put on my list to write a Finished post by the end of the week.

2.  Continue sewing the Rainbow Jungle trees into 4 patches and rows.  Progress was made.

There's definitely plenty more of this to do before I get the Rainbow Jungle to the quilt top stage.  I'm thinking this one will need a border, too.

So there's the beginnings of this week's list:

1.  Finish and post about the Cheddar and Blue wall-hanging.
2.  Keep working on the Rainbow Jungle quilt top.
3.  ???  Multiple choices here!  I have plenty of WiPs to choose from, that's for sure.  The last Rainbow Scrap Challenge project from 2019 to finish up is the Diamond Strings.  This one was on my to-do list earlier this year, but has been set aside for awhile.

I still need to work on the neutral string border blocks.  Some are 6.5 inch squares and some are 9.5 x 6.5 inch rectangles.  That would be a good thing to make some progress on this week!

So, as always, there's plenty to keep me busy this week!  Hope your week is getting off to a good start, too!

  1. Yay! for finishes! Cheddar & Blue is almost there with Tiny Jungle on its way. Love the string quilt. The neutral string border is the perfect touch.

  2. I like the different backgrounds on tree jungle. Are you hand sewing the binding on your Cheddar and Blue? Seeing your strings reminds me of my overly enthusiastic start to RSC20 this year and the string blocks I have waiting, along with other blocks. Remind me next year to stick with one or two patterns when I'm sewing for RSC!

  4. I love the jungle blocks! and those strings are looking good - I have yet to start anything with two boxes that I have and I don't know why there is enough there for a queen size quilt probably!

  5. I like the quilting on the cheddar quilt so far, it's looking good. I have never made a string block (gasp) but I do like the look of yours. I'm not sure what I'm working on today; we'll see what calls when I get to my quilt room.

  9. Gee I wish my phone book pages were that big! they give us these stinking little square ones now days. And I think it's even been a couple since we got a new one. I like the look of putting neutral ones in the border.

  10. Good work on the cheddar and indigo project! And now you are working on strings! The rectangular neutrals will be a great frame for those diamonds! I’m really excited to see your trees!
