Bits and Pieces in March

Teal has been the color of the month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, and I found lots of bits and pieces of it in my scraps and stash to move along my RSC projects for this year.

Trees for the Rainbow Jungle -

24 HSTs for the zigzag project -

The orange row is sewn together!

2.5 inch squares to make a color gradient block -

A scrappy little squirrel cat in a log cabin -

And I finished up the Scrappy Sprouts and Sunflowers flimsy!  Whoo hoo!

The sprouts were made throughout 2018, sewn together in 2019, and the sky and flowers finished up this year.  As soon as I get it basted with batting and backing, it will be ready to quilt!

I'm looking forward to a new color for April - how about you?  Linking up with SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday!

  2. Love your teal blocks! The teal shade you chose is very calming I think. I love that sunflower quilt! It just makes my day everytime I see it! If you don't mind, will put it on the blog for our suffrage friends. Hugs and stay well.

  3. I'm normally not a fan of sunflowers, but I really like how your sunflower flimsy turned out. You had a lot more teal scraps than I did; I struggled to find enough to make just one block and that's ok, at least I got that.

  7. I, too, am thrilled to see your sprouts blocks! It is the best! I’m not doing so well in my RSC blocks this year. The geese migration blocks take a bit more prep.
Our governor has extended our Stay at Home order til the 17th....so I’ll have even more time,
Stay well and keep fingers crossed for spring and a “flattened curve”!

  18. I think you were quite successful during March's Teal/Aqua/Turquoise RSC month! Really love your Sprouts -- what size did it end up? Looks like a perfectly sized wall hanging from here. Well done!

  20. Just WOW! I am so happy to see your sprouts quilt done! Isn’t it a pleasure and joy to have one come together after a couple of RSC years? I still haven’t settled on a 2020 RSC though I have an idea for one but haven’t sat down to focus (common theme) and figure how it would work... and now your sprouts is making me want to make that! Those trees...ahhh and the zigzags and the squirrel!
