So, what did I do all week long?
- Quilted on my Tiny Tuesday quilt - yes, and it's about half finished!
- Sorted scraps - yes, but that will be an ongoing process - isn't it always?
And you know the problem with scrap sorting - it leads to ideas, which lead to the sewing machine, which leads to...
Four patch hearts and a few more tiny bowties! Just for fun!
I also replaced my ironing board cover (long overdue!) -
No "before" photo - too embarrassing!
And I was a good girl and cleaned out underneath the bobbin plate of my sewing machine. After reading this post from Kitchen Table Quilting, I realized it was long past time that I do this job!
I still don't remember what #2 was supposed to be last week, though!
So, for this week's list:
1. Keep quilting Tiny Tuesday - I should be able to finish it this week. I'll need to decide what I'm doing for the binding.
2. Work on a few more green blocks for my Rainbow Scrap Challenge January blocks. I'm definitely planning to make more wonky trees in green.
3. I'd also like to move forward with another WiP - my Scrappy Sprouts quilt top. These sunflowers need their circle centers made and stitched on.
And then get the flowers appliqued to the "sky," too.
This one will be next up in the quilting queue.
Hope your week's getting off to a good start!
I'm linking up with Roseanne at Home Sewn by Us for To-Do Tuesday.
The tiny bow ties are so cute and the sunflowers on the sprouts are so perfect! Very inspiring!
ReplyDeletelove the scrappy sprouts - those Dresden's are bright and bold and look great
ReplyDeleteand what does it say about us... those who didn't even notice that there wasn't a number 2?
ReplyDeleteI certainly didn't notice there wasn't a #2, I was too busy looking at your projects! Always love seeing your progress. I am joining you this week in the scrap bin😊
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are getting a lot of projects to the competed stage! Good luck on this week's goals!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice #2 missing. If you're like me, you'll think of it during your sleep around 3 am, and then won't be able to remember it when you awake. Haha! You've had some fun little squirrels in your quilt room this week. Happy National Squirrel Day, by the way. It's definitely cause to celebrate, and you've done well! I'm off to play with one or two today. But first, lunch!
ReplyDeleteFunny how our brain supplies what we expect to see!! I love it when a new project sucks me in!! I'm off to do some cutting for a new quilt!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice #2 missing, I think we see what we expect to see! Love all your work from the week. The flowers are gorgeous and what you did with the scraps is so cute. I like to leave room for possibilities and new things a week! Kathryn Quilts
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! Ooh, that is one spiffy looking ironing board cover. I need to replace mine again . . . it's a few years old and it just gets faded, doesn't it? Oh boy, sorting scraps . . . definitely leads to playing with them and then a squirrel project. I'm not even looking - I see those heart blocks with those CUTE fabrics. EEK. I can honestly say I don't read the list numbers - I go right for the meat of the list! You could number them backward and I won't catch it. Scrappy Sprouts look so nice and Springy. Thanks for linking up and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteSome weeks are just that way, things get skipped (Last week I set up a meeting with a direct report, they didn't show, realized I hadn't copy them on the meeting notice). Love your sprouts quilt! That is so much fun. Hope you've made really good progress on this week's list (I'm a bit behind on blog reading).
ReplyDeleteLove your green wonky trees and also that green Christmas tree mini on your wall. That’s awesome that you got some organization done in your quilting space. Take care, Mary.
