Slow Sunday Stitching

I've been working on a series of small embroidery designs from Patchwork Loves Embroidery by Gail Pan.   I have ended up doing them all in a variegated blue, which I really love!

Here is the latest -

Sweet hearts and flowers!

I have an idea about what I might do with these, and it involves the hand-pieced blue and white star blocks I've also been working on for awhile.

    I love projects like that. I just never know where they end up in a quilt. Can't wait to see how yours progresses each month.

    I like where you're going with this, and I love variegated blue!
    I actually was thinking yesterday about how to incorporate some embroidery with quilting blocks. I started wondering if embroidery thread "bleeds" when laundered - I've never laundered any of my embroidery projects!

    I think I like blocks in blue better than redwork. Your hand-pieced blocks are really impressive.

    The sight of all your blue prettiness does make my heart smile. Your little stitcheries are lovely and as for the blue and white start quilt...just gorgeous! I look forward to seeing you marrying the pretty stars and embroideries together.
