Pretty sunrise
This temperature...
That's not a happy wow! :)
There I was last week, crowing over temps in the 70s.
The atmosphere said, "I'll show her!"
I'm really not complaining - so many people have been affected by Hurricane Dorian, and I never have to worry about events like that.
These flowers!
So bright and pretty, even into September.
New fabric!
A selection of Christmas-y Grunge Stars to make the Christmas in July quilt from Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict - I finally have the right ruler and the fabric I wanted! Maybe I'll make Christmas in July of 2020... :)
And a lovely package of winnings from Michele, our friend at 3 Poodles and a Nana, who also blogs at Pennsylvania Piecemaker. Over at her other blog, Michelle is holding a year-long celebration of Women's Suffrage, and I happened to win her recent giveaway. Thank you, Michele!
Lovely blue batiks, buttons, notecards, and a neat needle carrier!
Those batiks will be for something really special!
(If you aren't following Pennsylvania Piecemaker, you should! Lots of fascinating info on women's lives and history in the early 1900s to take in over there!)
And not necessarily a "Wow!" but how about a "I sure enjoy this!" A new Gail Pan embroidery design that I've been working on this week.
And finally, this -
You are the "Wow!"
Thanks for visiting and reading my 150th "I Like Thursday" post!
Check out the other Thursday posts at Not Afraid of Color.
Beautiful batiks in your winnings there. Very pretty embroidery, Gail Pan has some lovely designs.
ReplyDeleteSo many awesome likes. The saying is awesome. My mom is in awe that my barrel full of yellow petunias and lantana are still blooming. We haven't got the temps that you have thank goodness. Nice wins. Love your Christmasy grunge project.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 150th I Like Thursday! I surely enjoy these posts and look forward to them. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the grunge stars!
Ugh on the high temp. There are times I long to live in CO or northern New Mexico just for the weather (and the mountains!)
Have a great weekend Diann!
Love that grunge fabric--it definitely calls my name ;)))
ReplyDeleteOur temps have fallen off considerably this morning--finally!! I like that Kalei-project a lot thanks for sharing hugs, Julierose
Congrats on beautiful batiks!. So sorry you got so hot again, but those petunias made it!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Michele had another blog! Or giveaways! Congrats, those are pretty fabrics.
ReplyDeleteSo much wow! What a great post for your 150th! I sure hope the weather has come down a notch or two. Yikes. Have fun with that embroidery project, and I'll be waiting to see your creations with that lovely fabric!
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! Love that Grunge fabric with the stars on it! Is that not just perfect for those Christmasy quilt?!! Love it. Wowee - 150th Like post! That's amazing and very cool. Just think of all the positive energy you've shared. I'm sorry those temperatures are so darn hot - that just seems wrong at this time of year. Your flowers look like they are loving the temps or whatever you're doing! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty batiks! So much lovely blue. Need something cool to offset that heat! Those triangles look pretty neat, and I jumped over to look at the pattern. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 150th!! I love your likes this week! I love watching the sun set and rise too! Your petunias are doing so much better than mine! Our annuals are not doing well because of the lack of rain (city water is not that great for plants). Glad you like your batiks and thanks for the plug about the blog! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your temperature! Ours has cooled down now, it’s really autumnal.
ReplyDeleteThe petunias are looking great! Nice embroidery project!
Well done on your 150th! Love the gift you received, I’m off to read about the Women’s Sufferage.
Hugs,
Barbara xx
So many likes and I concur with all of them! Is your temperature really 100? Wow.
ReplyDeletePetunias are a wonderful summer plant; I always buy some for the pots because they bloom so long despite the need to deadhead often. Of course I love the embroidery. I feel like you are in a very creative groove these days, Diann.
Toooooo hot!!!!!
