Thanks go to Benita at Victoriana Quilt Designs for getting us all together! Click on the photo above to go to Benita's main post about this event.
If you're new to my blog, thanks for coming today!
I'm Diann, and this has been my little place in the Blog Universe since 2013. I'm a retired 5th grade teacher, and really enjoy having lots of time to sew, write, and read about quilting.
My favorite way to sew is with scraps, often in a rainbow of colors.
A favorite finish of this year is my String Star, which I designed myself and now hangs in my dining room, made from scraps and string blocks.
I've also been experimenting with Improv quilting in the last year or so!
I really appreciate all the inspiration that is available through online quilt alongs and generous bloggers who share their ideas and amazing designs! I've learned a lot in the last few years and had a lot of fun playing with fabric and thread to see what will happen.
Thanks for joining me today for this quilty event! Be sure to check out all the other quilters who are taking part in it as well, over at Victoriana Quilt Designs.
There are prizes for participating, too! Check them out by clicking on the photo below!
I'm so glad you are a quilt blogger, Diann! I enjoy visiting you here and reading about your projects very much :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts! I love the string star especially, but rainbow colors are always appealing! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are always so inspiring! Love them!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you! I really like your String Quilt....I'll have to start saving "strings"!
ReplyDeleteWe've been reading each other's blogs for some time. You are a fabulous quilter, and I hope some new readers will follow you from the Meet and Greet!!
ReplyDeleteDiann, I am always looking for better setting to shoot my quilts. Love the Scrap Jar Stars quilt and the set-up is just perfect. Looks like the gentleman really admires your handiwork :-) I will see you around.
ReplyDeleteHi Diann, So fun to see some of your quilts all in one post. I am struck by the simplicity of that first one with the rows of color sashed with wide white strips. What a great scrap buster and a fun way to use certain colors. Either by theme (red and gold for the holidays? burnt orange, red and brown for autumn?) or rainbow. I pinned it so I will hopefully remember to come back and take a closer look.
ReplyDeleteHi Diann- great post. I've been following you for some time as I love your inspiring quilting! What a great opportunity for others to see your creativity. I especially like your String Quilt. Enjoy!
