Besides stitching up a few Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks...
I also finished my Crosscut Quilt - Cream and Crimson -
I've made these pocket tissue holders before - they are great for little gifts!
Of course, I never made one for myself! I used this tutorial to remember how to make them. So quick and simple! The adorable, teeny, tiny zipper pouch is made from a tutorial that Svetlana at sotakhandmade just shared on her blog this week. I knew I had to try it! I have to admit, even after several years now of sewing zippy pouches, I'm still making mistakes with the zipper. Wouldn't you think I'd have that technique down pat? But no... not yet. Fortunately, the zipper still zips, and this will be a fun little pouch to use, but I am going to make another one just to see if I can get better at it!
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been working on this week over at Oh Scrap! at Quilting is More Fun than Housework. There's always lots of good inspiration to be found at Cynthia's Sunday link-up!
I really like how your Cross Cut topper came out, it is perfect for your table!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vicki- your topper looks great on your table. And thanks for the link to the tissue tutorial. I have been wanting to make some of those. Thanks for linking up all these cute projects with Oh Scrap!
ReplyDeleteYour crosscut quilt is a wonderful table topper!
ReplyDeleteYour other projects look like fun, too! (I also like to keep a bunch of projects in motion. Never a dull moment!)
Love all of your projects! The crosscut is on my list to do one day. I have made the tissue holders using the very same tutorial.
ReplyDeleteCute gifts. Zips are not my favourite things to work with either.
ReplyDeleteVary nice! Your cross cut looks perfect on the table!
ReplyDeleteYour xcut quilt looks wonderful! I love the little pops of crimson!
ReplyDeleteI love your crosscut quilt!
ReplyDeleteGreat pouch and tissue holder, Diann.
Cynthia sent me your way, as I too have recently blogged about a pouch I made using Svetlana's pattern!
Coincidentally I've also blogged about a tissue holder, but using a different tutorial, where the writer suggests overlapping the binding seams in the centre, but by no more than 1/4" (just hope I remember this on the next tissue holder I make!). Good to meet you Diann.
