Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the month - my book club meets! For November's discussion we read Crow Talk by Eileen Garvin. If you haven't read this book, I definitely recommend it. It's a good story about women and their friendships, family, and crows! I learned so much about crows from this book - they are fascinating birds. So I decided to stitch some crows!
My tiny beginning! This is PinkernPunkin's
Ole Crow Saltbox. Click the link to see Melisa's design.
I've never stitched any of her saltbox houses before,
but I think I'll enjoy this one!
Before starting this I did finish the two embroidery pieces I shared last week - my October heart and the November Woven Wreath section.
Hard to believe there is only one more month to stitch on this project!
I'm going to have to decide how I will finish it up.

That is such a cute crow stitch, and your pumpkin looks so pretty, especially with your magic coloring skills. Enjoy your book club tomorrow, and report on the snacks ;)
ReplyDeleteI am amazed by all the stitching you do each week, producing so many wonderful embroideries and cross stitch pieces! Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy with the handwork this week. Your pumpkins turned out really pretty. Do you know how you are going to set that set of blocks?
ReplyDeleteYour projects look great!
ReplyDeleteLove those embroideries. Those saltboxes are so pretty stitched up. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby had some pet crows while he was growing up, so he is partial to them. I don't think I stitched any of her Salt Box's either. This might be the push I need to get one together for the winter stitchin'. Your pumpkin heart turned out so cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are cute crows. I wrote your book title in my 'to read" list! Thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteYour projects are so pretty.
ReplyDeletePretty stitching happening here.
ReplyDeleteOne Crow Saltbox will be sew cute to display with your Fall Sunflowers. Good for you! I’ve been eyeing those houses for a while. Maybe in 2025, I’ll stitch houses!
ReplyDeletemy daughter and i decided this morning that next year's advent theme will be ravens and crows for both of us - thank you for the heads up on Melisa's blog - i should have known she'd have black birdies!!! and i'm writing down the book title, too...
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe that your Woven Heart blocks are coming to an end; goodness this year has rushed by. Your October heart is pretty. Nothing better than sitting with a group and discussing a good book. This book does sound like a great read.
ReplyDeleteI just got the book hope to start it this week!
ReplyDeleteThat book is on my list, I finished Music of the Bees last week. Love your stitcheries. The pumpkin heart is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book recommendation. Your stitchery fits right in.
ReplyDeleteWe've been reading about crows. They are very interesting birds, for sure. Can't wait to see your new cross stitch progress. Both embroidery projects look great as well.
ReplyDeleteYour handwork is so lovely, and how fun that you are stitching up some crows! I'm going to check on that book. We had crows that would hang around our backyard a few years ago, I named one Harry and made a crow just for him. He doesn't come around as much anymore, and that makes me sad. I might have to leave a little shiny something out on the deck, to entice him to return!
