Two small finishes and a new start!

This week I finished up the Watermelon Stamp, which is full of my favorite summer things: watermelon, sunflowers, birds, and buzzing bees.

And - the mini flag sampler, which has joined the collection in my big basket of samplers!

And then I read Melisa's Thursday post.  Did you know that it was National "Thread the Needle" day?   Well, me neither, but I didn't mind having another reason to do some stitching!  When Melisa shared her cute design for a tiny sewing basket full of goodies, I decided I needed to start it.  This is the beginnings of Sew Day Basket, found at the link above.

Do you have a tomato pincushion?  I do!
I'll have to include it in the photo when I finish this little design!

  1. Your little summer stamp is adorable - love your basket of pretties. I had Mom's tomato until it began to rip many years ago. I went ahead and pulled it open and found many needles inside!

    1. I knew that’s where all my needles disappeared to! In my tomato pin cushion! And probably some other pin cushions as well! :). Have a good Sunday Linda! Missing your blog posts!

  2. All of your stamps are so cute. You've been really productive on those this year. Melisa's designs are really addictive, which why I refuse to start one! I have a tomato pin cushion, but I don't use it these days. It's boring compared to the pin cushions you can find now.

  11. I do have a tomato pincushion. Although. . .I store my used needles in it rather than pins. . . LOL. Wonderful finishes and what a fun new start!

  13. Oh my ! All of your stitches look amazing, Diann! I am so very humbled and honored. You had a great stitchy week. Great start on Sew Day too. I do have a tomato pinkeep. I saw one the other day at the antique store - I regret that I did not get it . Oh well, just an excuse to return. Fingers crossed it will be there. I can not wait to see your stitch finished with your pincushion. Happy stitching and thank you . Hugs.
