I think it's too early for baby birds here, but we did learn about a neat bird identification app the other day, and it works really well. We've used it to identify birds by their sound, and it's remarkably accurate!

ReplyDeleteA friend has the Merlin app and used it the other day when I was with her. Amazing that it identified several species by their songs in less than a minute. Your bird embroidery is perfect for this time of year.

ReplyDeleteNice pattern, it’s going to be great stitched up! The signs are up where I live in the new forest saying keep the dog out of the grass and on the path because of ground nesting birds. There’s a lot of tweeting going on!

ReplyDeleteI've heard of the Merlin app and have looked at the database on my Chromebook, but haven't downloaded the app. I heard a bird today that I hadn't heard before and thought of Merlin, but have no idea how to capture the song to have it identified. I need a teenager.

That is a pretty design, Diann! The Merlin app is a good one, and my daughter says it is accurate (bird scientist).
