Midweek Update

My new Christmas tablerunner is a finish and on the table!  I love the traditional colors and patchwork look of this one, plus the fun zigzag pattern, created by the 16 Across blocks.  It measures 16x 32.

The backing is snowflakes on red - that $2.50 half yard deal I got at Joann's.

This has some favorite scraps in it - ice skating penguins, Santas on the black background, candy canes.

I sort of accidentally ended up with a neat quilting design - if you can see it.  I followed the squares diagonally in the zigzag zag and it made squares in the corners where the stitching connected.

Enjoying it on the table!

  2. Yay for a cute finish. I spent much of yesterday making holiday mug rugs for the nurses at our local hospital and hospice house. Hoping to post a catch-up today.

  3. It's so pretty!! I love the fabrics, and yes your quilting looks amazing. The runner is so pretty on your table.
I'm enjoying seeing my favorite fabric scraps making the quilt. But yesterday I counted how many more squares I will need and had to start cutting from my fabric stash - I ran out of that size squares in my scraps.
