There's been quite a lot going on in my sewing room lately, and sometimes even I wonder where all these projects come from! Fortunately, a little sewing every day helps me make progress on each project.
- The last two blocks were made for Masala Box and this is my current layout for them.
- The Frosties came back out again, and I've been sewing the sashing and cornerstones onto the blocks, and sewing the rows together.
- Almost up to 20 blue crumb blocks!
- I did shop for some yardage to make a backing for Full Stop, but it's still in the bag with no photos yet. Hopefully more progress on that for next week!
And then there's Autumn Jubilee! Every October, Carole at From My Carolina Home hosts this fun event, which includes sewing and quilting projects, along with Autumn-themed cooking, books to read, and gardening posts. I've been joining in for quite a few years, and this year is no different! The first directions for the Autumn Jubilee QAL are out, and I've chosen my fabric and gotten started with cutting squares and making HSTs.
These fat quarters are from the bundle I brought home from our trip to Oregon.
The selvage I found on one of them says Painted Patchwork by Sue Zipkin for Clothworks.
I chose the prints from the bundle that had a fall feel to me, and they should be fun to play with for this QAL. The next directions come out on Friday!
For the coming week, I'll be trying to focus on just a few things:
- Make the backing for Full Stop
- Get all the Frosty blocks sewn into a quilt top
- Keep going on the Autumn Jubilee QAL project!
Linking up with To-Do Tuesday at Texas Quilt Gal!
Hurray for moving those projects along. I predict you will get a lot done on those this week:)
