Slow stitching this week...

This has been a good week for some evenings of slow stitching.  We watched the first two episodes of "The Lord of the Rings - Rings of Power" series Thursday evening on Prime, and I stitched right along!

Made lots of progress on "Summer Sun."  This one is going quickly!  The leaves are stitched with stem fill, and that's a bit labor intensive, but I like the look of it.

Also quilted another flower block on this little quilt.  It's been a little warm (mid 90s all week!) for having a quilt over my lap, so I'm just doing a little at a time.

What are you stitching this week?

  1. Summer sun is pretty. I like how you used variegated thread for the basket. Happy stitching!

  2. I heard there are two series one on Friday and one on Saturday are you watching both of them and do you like them? I think I might wait until the end of the season and then watch them

  3. It looks like you colored the background of the flower? What did you use, colored pencil? I bought some inktense pencils a couple years ago and forget to play with them!

  10. I love the idea of hand stitching. I should try some when the days get short this winter. I'm working on my junk journals right now. Enjoy your week!

  11. Nice work on the hexie flowers and the embroidery flowers. Did you use crayons or pencils for the coloring? I've only used crayons but friends of mine have used pencils too. I can't believe how hot it's been in so many parts of the country. We, on the other hand, have been unseasonable cool for about a month now. I will say that it has been a lot of clouds & drizzly rain so not super pleasant weather though. Have a good week and enjoy the sunshine even if it is a bit warm.
