Remember that wonderful PBS show for kids hosted by LeVar Burton - "Reading Rainbow?" My kids and I loved that show - I think we mostly watched it in the 80s, although I saw that it had 21 seasons, lasting until 2006.
I was thinking of that show this week as I finished up my Full Stop Quilt top. I think I'll rename this quilt Writing Rainbow as it's definitely a rainbow of writing symbols!
I think my favorite row to make was the question marks! I really like how they turned out.
This brings the number of RSC quilt tops that are in the "waiting to be quilted queue" to three at my house! I guess it's time that I found some backings and got going on that job!

ReplyDeleteThat’s a very cute pillow for your son…last post. Great likes!
ReplyDeleteWriting Rainbow is so interesting and a great finish. I like the question marks too.
Anyway enjoy your visit!
Writing Rainbow is a perfect name!!! I love this quilt! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI think the asterisk and question mark are the best rows. You chose the perfect name for this quilt. Naming is hard for me. Wish I only had 3 quilts in the to be quilted pile!
ReplyDeleteLove the name and the colors in this. I know you are happy to put it into the queue!
ReplyDeleteWriting Rainbow is a terrific name! It turned out very cute. Who would think punctuation would be so fun?
ReplyDeleteCongrats of the finish! I stalled out at the hashtag and never got back to it. Our favorite PBS thing was the short pieces about grammar -- Conjunction Junction, et al.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the RSC2021 flimsy finish and Writing Rainbow is a great name!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that show had been on so long I don't think I saw it I had my kids in the early 70's so I think they would have been past it in the 80's. I like that quilt it is hard to find a name sometimes.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting your full stop top put together. Reading Rainbow sounds like a great name! Have fun with the quilting. Always great to finish a project officially.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt!! I like the asterisks best--but they all came out so well...nice work hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful! Congratulations on getting the blocks together into this lovely quilt top!
ReplyDeleteFull Stop is great!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you agree that, “ imitation is the sincerest form of flattery “, because I am definitely copying your layout! Or at least using it for inspiration. My rows may be longer or shorter than yours! I just love how it turned out! Fab!
ReplyDeleteI won't even count my tops waiting for quilting... or ufo block groups... your latest is so cute
ReplyDeleteGreat name for your Full Stop quilt, Diann!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great name for that quilt!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun quilt top, Diann and you found athe perfect name.
ReplyDeleteGreat top, and the dot fabric is perfect with it. Now I've got the song in my head, "take a look, it's in a book, a reading rainbow!" Writing rainbow as a title is inspired!
ReplyDeleteBeing a transplant to the US, there are a lot of references that mean nothing to me. So thank you for explaining that. Writing Rainbow is an excellent name for a darling quilt. May your day be bright and joyful!
ReplyDeleteAnother Reading Rainbow fan here. My children were born in 1980 and 1984. This was "our" favorite show to watch together. Therefore, I love your title Writing Rainbow, paying homage to the show. Thanks for the fond memory drift and sharing your delightful RSC quilt.
