It snowed all day Friday, the last day of 2021. It was our first real and measurable snow for this winter and the first since way last March, so our very dry Colorado really needed it. I knew I needed to photograph my Frosty embroideries out in the snow!
I'm not sure how tall that snow on the fence is, but I did measure 7 inches in the front yard.
Mike asked me if it was really worth it to tromp through all that snow just to get a picture. Of course I said it was!
Frosty #6 is still under construction.
And 7, 8, and 9 are printed and ready to trace. I'll need to prep one this afternoon so that I don't run out of slow stitching on this first Sunday of 2022! These designs can be found at PinkernPunkin Quilting; every Thursday Melisa puts out a new Frosty. They're a lot of fun!

Happy New Year to you, as well. Love your Frosties! But not sure I'd wade through 7" of snow just for a photograph. We're expecting up to 3" tonight. Glad to know you weren't affected by the fires. So sad.

ReplyDeleteI love your Frosty blocks! I don't think I would have trudged through the snow for the photo, but they certainly look great on the fence surrounded by all that snow. We are supposed to get a couple of inches of snow tomorrow morning. Just in time for the first day back to school.

ReplyDelete7" of snow sounds wonderful to me! Sadly, we haven't had any snow here yet, just that frigid cold recently. I'm collecting the Frosties too and look forward to starting them. Good job! Hope you had on some mighty tall boots to tromp through that snow!

ReplyDeleteOf course it was necessary to tromp through that snow for the Frosty pic - silly question - haha! I'm so glad the snow finally arrived for you. My SIL was within 5 miles from the Boulder fires, so we were very nervous about her situation for a bit. Such devastation, and so very sad.
ReplyDeleteI love your parade of Frosty's. I should go print one of those patterns to use for the January Table Scraps project, although at the rate I stitch, it might be next January before I finish it. So sad that the snowfall didn't come one day earlier for the fire victims. One again, the lesson to the rest of us is "Carpe Diem".
