I Like Thursday #257

Happy Thursday!

The skies have been interesting in our neck of the woods recently!  There was an air show out at the airport here, east of town, and the Navy Blue Angels did a big performance.  They started practicing last Thursday and then performed on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.  We didn't need to go out there with the crowds to see them, they flew right over our house!

So fun to see!

Back on earth, I just finished an entertaining page turner!

The president's daughter has been kidnapped, and only the president (who is a former Navy Seal) can save her.  I couldn't put this one down!  It's the second in the series.

This adorable design is the One Stitch at a Time club's October design.  I'm planning to get it traced so that I can work on it this coming week, with Halloween coming.

Hope you're having a great week!

  3. I read that book last week and really enjoyed it - have you read the others that he has co-authored? I see Hilary has co-authored a mystery as well and got that one on my kindle.

  4. Mr. Busy would be so jealous, that you got to see the Blue Angels! He took a flying lesson years ago at the Loveland Airport! Our daughter and her then husband arranged it for him for Father’s Day! I looked on Kathy’s website. Such cute embroidery designs! I’ve been wanting to read The President’s Daughter! Thanks for the recommendation!

  5. The Blue Angels are magnificent! I'm so happy to hear that you stepped outside to enjoy them. The sights and sounds of freedom never get old. We live near an AF Base and an Air Force National guard station is at our local airport. We're just 2miles from the end of the runway so we hear them every time they practice for flight time! Glorious.

    Wishing you a wonderful day!

  11. Hi Diann! Ooh, those Blue Angels. So, so, SO cool. We've had our air show canceled for two years now . . . maybe next summer. Oh YES to James Patterson books in general and the President series specifically. I have that on my library list just waiting for the hold to be released. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  13. Those air shows are really something, aren't they. This week there was a full moon and it really made the night sky interesting as well as the sunsets. I have Kathy's patterns downloaded for "someday", LOL. Too many fun things. Btw, love your blocks so far for the Autumn Jubilee.
