Hand-Pieced Progress

Friday afternoon, I had my hand-pieced Scrappy Trip Around the World quilt to this point - two eight block units and the bottom four block strip.

Friday evening I stitched like crazy and got the whole quilt top finished up!

I'm so happy with how this is going!  Next steps are pressing it, figuring out a backing, and getting it ready to hand quilt.   So, back to embroidery for now.

Today's slow stitching will be to finish this design up...

Almost done!

  3. love all the color in that quilt! you will enjoy quilting this one. will you be keeping it or giving it away? I have so many quilts that I really need to think of starting to give some away - I would think to try to sell some but they are all large quilts and would need to try to charge a lot and most likely wouldn't get what they are worth

  11. I like how the variegated thread looks on your embroidery. Your quilt is just so pretty. That is going to be a lot of seams to quilt through.
