To-Do Tuesday #93

It's amazing the progress you can make on something when you stay focused on it for several days in a row! (wink!)

A week ago I shared this photo of the last rows that needed to be sewn together for my Follow Your Own Path quilt.

Since then I've gotten the top completed...

Purchased backing fabric and spray basted the layers...

The weird-looking fabric underneath is the old sheet
I spread on the floor when I'm going to use basting spray!

And quilting is in process...

A finish is getting close!

My goal is to get the quilting finished today, and the binding sewn on tomorrow so that I can get the whole quilt finished by Friday.   I don't want to miss out on Sandra's final link-up for the QAL!  I'll update my post when her link-up goes live.

Meanwhile, other projects have gone by the wayside, but once I can spend my evening hand stitching working on the binding, I can get back to my purple scraps and *finally* start making some Positivity blocks!

Linking up with with Chris and friends at Chrisknits for To-Do Tuesday!

  1. It is amazing all we can accomplish when we actually focus on just that one thing! Ha! This morning I've been thinking about the Positivity blocks too. I believe I'll be using a 1/2 jelly roll that I won from my LQS and am contemplating backgrounds. Glad I'm not the only one that hasn't gotten a jump on this one! I love the two-different-fabrics inner border you did on the Follow Your Own Path quilt. Really sets the whole quilt off!

  2. Nice progress Diann! I love that backing and your serpentine quilting. I have a sheet I use under my quilt for spray basting too!

  7. It is indeed amazing what can get accomplished when you focus and work on something. Those deadlines tend to be a big push to the finish line as well. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt. Great job!

  8. I am a big believer in making daily progress on my “main” project as time allows. It does allow me to get things finished and crossed off my list. Your Follow Your Own Path quilt is looking great especially with the serpentine quilting. Take care, Mary.

  9. Hi Diann! Oh so close to a finish. I think I can hear the hand stitching happening as I type. Is that a Grunge-type background fabric? I just love the fabrics you chose for your arrows. I was going to say, especially the green . . . but then I looked at the yellow and orange, and can no longer qualify it like that. All of them!! Great job. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
