I Like Thursday #237

Happy Thursday, friends!  It's a good day to share the good things that have been happening this week!  Check out all the positive posts at Not Afraid of Color.

My biggest like of the week is that my mom's Arizona house sold and everything closed yesterday, so that takes a big concern off my (and my siblings') shoulders.  Now my mom will have the money she needs for this next stage of her life.

Meanwhile... have you been to Crumbl Cookies?

I have!

And oh my goodness!

The baby geese are hanging out with their parents at the golf course these days.  So fun to see!

I was surprised to find this pretty Columbine blooming in one of my gardens the other day.  Not much else grows back there anymore, so this is a treat to see!

Hope you're having a great week!

  2. Yay for mom's house selling. The cookie looks awesome. I made the mistake of looking at the fat and calories on my favorite donut, and a cookie. They will be treats which I consumer few and far between. :( Oh your Columbine is lovely. Mine are all purple. Amazing some years only a few come up, and then others they are all over the place.

  3. I'm so happy about your Mom's house. That is huge. I wouldn't have had any cookie left to photograph, so my compliments to your will power!

  5. Good news about selling your mom’s house! The market is great all over for sellers! I know we don’t have Crunbl cookies here. They must have been wonderful! Baby geese are prevalent here too. Aren’t they fun to watch?

  6. So delighted for your Mom, Diann!
Special treats and finding a beautiful columbine flower...mine are reddish/orange and are also blooming just now. Btw, I adore your Harmony piece...the colours are perfect together.

  7. Yay for the house sale. Everyone can rest easier now. You live in Colorado so of course you should have columbine blooming. I have way more columbine blooming this year than usual. No explanation except that the deer seem to be leaving it alone.

  9. Hi Diann! YIPPEE! Arizona is behind both of you now. No more worries about when/if the house would sell. Phew! Aww, those baby geese look so cute, and that's a great shot of the columbine! ~smile~ Roseanne

  11. I used to have pink Columbine in my Alberta garden and I loved it. Lots of baby geese around here too! So glad your mom's house is a done deal and she can move on to the next adventure!

  12. Fantastic news on your mother's house! What a relief for all! Love the color of your columbine. I have a deep purple one (Variety was Princess Diana as purple was said to be a favorite color of hers, I believe. Or maybe it was for her royalty?) that blooms every year. This year I had a couple of buds when it was weed-whackered off accidentally. It's currently in a comeback stage. I used to have a lot of columbines of different colors but my husband thought they were weeds and sprayed them with Round-Up. That was wrong on two levels: 1) they were my columbines, and 2) I don't like using poisons in my garden. Oh well. Very nice to see yours this year!
