Happy Thursday, friends! Hope you're having a good week! Spring took a few steps backwards in our neck of the woods this week, but even so, I enjoyed my daily walks.
Walking through the neighborhood park.
The green and growing things didn't seem to mind all the moisture, though.
I'm glad I haven't done any planting yet,
but it's on my to-do list for this weekend.
Fortunately, Spring came back on Wednesday, prettier than ever!
The yucky days did make for good reading weather, and I finished this book in about a day and a half! It is a really good story, sort of a psychological mystery that plays with your thinking. I couldn't put it down!
Thanks to Carole at From My Carolina Home
for the recommendation!
I also added two more arrows to the design wall - halfway there now.
Today is my quilt group's get together outdoors at a local park. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!
The weather is certainly changeable this time of year! Glad it wasn’t too cold or treacherous to walk! That looks like a good book! I’ll check it out!
ReplyDeleteSuch a weird weather year! I love your arrows..particularly the red ones! Have a safe and happy week Diann and hope the warm weather continues for you! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the book, I thought it was fabulous too.
ReplyDeleteI heard Estes Park got quite a bit of snow this past week. Every time I think I am going to plant it is either raining, or freezing. The book sounds great. Love your blocks.
ReplyDeleteyour snow just doesn't want to quit does it - I know it will soon of course but I bet you are feeling like spring will never get there and stay. Your quilting arrows are looking great. Have fun meeting your quilt group I hope it warms up so you don't need to wrap up in your quilts!
ReplyDeletewow an actual get together... be careful still, CO had the second highest national infection rate in the nation still. But how fun to see people you like. I'll check out your book selection but I don't know if I need any psychological thrillers, I feel my life is both boring while at the same time too much of a psych. thriller!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteNo snow...but chilly weather. Highs in the 50's and 60's...with night time lows dropping into the 30's. But as you say, spring is still showing it's colors. Your book sounds interesting...I've added it to my TBR list.I like your red arrows. Have a great day!
We got your return to winter overnight last night. It was 43 degrees this morning. Brr!! Congrats on getting another couple arrows sewn, Diann.
ReplyDeleteWe've had some lovely days of weather this week, so we've enjoyed it quite a bit. Hope your warm Spring weather settles in soon, it's looking like it should any day now! Liking your arrows - I'm putting on my inner border and having a bit of fun with it. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh hope you had a fabulous meet up with your quilt group in the park. I'm envious. Your arrow blocks look striking all together.
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! Quick hits of snow seem to be common there in Colorado. I'm glad nothing seemed to be impacted by it, and those trees you see on your walk are gorgeous. Enjoy the get-together with your quilt group. Hopefully, it isn't too cool to gather outside. I sure do love the fabrics you're using on your arrows. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteSnow in May is never welcome. We've been down in the low 30's the last few nights, but no snow. Enjoy seeing your quilt friends again. Our group got together last Saturday.

Eek, snow! We have all that green, but none of the white, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the EEK, snow! crowd. Hope that is the end of it for you. We are having cooler weather than normal but not terrible. I still get out on a walk most days. Your arrows are looking great.
ReplyDeleteI love your nature pictures! The Bookseller sounds intriguing - according to Goodr3eads. Glad you were able to see your friends!
ReplyDeleteYour Follow blocks look great. It’s been fun seeing everyone’s blocks.
ReplyDeleteI read The Bookseller about three weeks ago (also on recommendation from Carole) and totally agree with you. It was amazing!
